I just called on the status from Maytag and they informed me of the date. Luckily I was off. I called just to get my washer serviced and let me tell you it was just a nightmare. I had them come on the 17th of December because I was expecting my first baby and thought it would be a good thing to do before he was here since I would be doing so much laundry once he got here. They came out and had me run a cleaning cycle with my own cleaner, didn't look at the actual mechanics of the machine and tells me it's fine. Literally as the repair guy is in his car after telling us that there is nothing wrong with our machine we hear a squeaking. My husband goes and get him from the car to show him the squeaking and then says oh it must be a belt. Repair man then tells us he doesn't have the belt and he needs to order it, tells us he's going to come out on another day and to expect a phone call the day prior as to get a time window as to when they would be here, it never happened. I literally had to call and figure out when he was going to come, they had no notations what so ever about him needing to come back. So then I get told he will be here Christmas Eve, to replace the belt, mind you I'm in the hospital with a newborn, thank goodness my mother was here taking care of my dogs as to be able to let him in and repair the machine. But to my surprise my machine still have not been fixed, then I was told it would be about $250 after being told it was covered under warranty. My husband called the repairman and told him the machine was still making the noise. The repairman said he noticed oil spots on the ground underneath the machine, but just figured it was from another source. He then told my husband he thought it was the transmission, and that he would be back in a week with the part. Again, I was supposed to receive a phone call the day before he was going to come out with a time window as to when he would be here, never happened. My husband called the number he had previously called from and got a hold of him and said he was not going to be out because the transmission he order the box was damaged and so was the transmission. Again, waiting for another part to come in and be replaced. Finally, he comes out with a new transmission for my washer only to be told he's never seen this happen before and I'm told that we would need to order another part and that I was better off buying a new washer because repair total would cost me $400 plus dollars. So I am left with a washer that was only squeaking, to no longer being operable at all. Great, I'm stuck with a washer that doesn't work and need to buy a new one, but I'm told, "Here is my card, my manager authorized when you get a new machine give us a call and we will give you a courtesy inspection to make sure your machine is working properly." I've have never had someone come out to service something and be left with a machine that is no longer operable. I call to speak to a supervisor, of course can not get a hold of one and am told they would contact me within 24 hours, three days later I have not heard one thing from a supervisor. I hope to never have to use this company and/or recommend it to anyone. I paid $109 to be left with a machine that no longer works. I have never worked with such an unprofessional company/associates. It was a horrible experience, if I could give them zero stars I would.

The service person phoned in advance to let us know he was on his way; we also received an email and text message to confirm the appointment. The service person was professional and pleasant to deal with. In the end, buying a new appliance (in our case, a washer) than having to repaired (cos of labor, plus parts) - so this review was for the repair consultation only (i.e., not the repair service). Cost of the initial service call ($129) was a higher than expected. We made the appointment through the Maytag site and there are no advertised prices for the initial consultation. Had we had that info up front, we would have probably shopped around more, as the initial consultation is higher than average. But on the whole, the service person who showed up was pleasant to deal with- and his assessment of the issue was quick.

The service tech was pleasant and answered all my questions. My only gripe is with the fact that it took so long to get the part my oven needed. Apparently there was a shortage of the computer that runs the whole thing, so my issue is more with Whirlpool than the repair company.

We expected an assessment. We got a candid assessment. Chris advised us, showed us, our Dishwashing unit was in proper working order. Chris and I thoroughly checked the electrical panel and did several tests of several breaker switches. Conclusion: we need our electric panel assessed Chris provided a couple solutions as to how we could use our dishwasher now, without damage to the unit, or other electric appliance. Chris showed us that our whirlpool dishwasher was a sound unit.

The repairman was very nice. He was quite late as my "window' was noon until 3 and he arrive around 5:15. It took several call to your business until someone finally got back to me on text. The repairman didn't seem sure what the problem was but he attempted to fix it. He told me that if it continued to drip to return it to Lowe's. The next morning there was more water in the refrigerator than before it was 'fixed'. I am not sure how to address this now as the holidays are upon us and I don't have time to wait thru 'windows' that aren't accurate because the repairmen run behind… which I understand. I will probably have to deal with this after the holidays and just continue to put a towel in my 2 week old refrigerator to soak up the moisture from my freezer. It is still under warranty

Except for the repairman, the whole experience with Whirlpool has been very unsatisfactory. I was waiting on the phone with Whirlpool agents for an hour trying to get my stove serviced. Most people might not have held on for that long a period. I wonder then how they acted having paid hundreds of dollars for a service contract.
